Earl's Air Conditioning | Coachella Valley AC and Heating Installation | HVAC Experts

FAQ

How often should I have my Air Conditioner serviced?

Due to the extreme heat we experience during the summer, Earl’s recommends servicing your HVAC equipment twice per year: before and after the summer season. Proper HVAC maintenance will increase the lifespan and efficiency of your equipment. In the long run, neglecting your system requires more repairs and air flow restriction.

What’s included in my Air Conditioner service?

During your service call, an Earl’s technician will do everything below. Other companies go down the checklist just until they find the problem, then stop. We go down the entire checklist every time.

  • Check thermostat operation
  • Clear condensation drains
  • Clean condensing coils
  • Examine loose connections or burnt wires in electrical components
  • Clean or change filters
  • Check fan motor and compressor amperage
  • Lubricate moving parts
  • Ensure overall system operations
  • Check for proper refrigerant charge
  • Leave you with recommendations to increase the lifespan of your unit
How often should I change my air conditioner’s air filter?

Earl recommends changing your filters every month during the summer and every two months for the rest of the year.

What size AC unit should I purchase?

It depends upon the year your home was built, square footage, construction type, insulation rating, and the performance rating of the system you choose. In general we recommend 1 ton per 500 sq. ft.

Do you offer equipment financing?

We currently offer financing through HERO and Benji. Learn more about our financing options by calling us at (760) 327-5722.

Why should I purchase a new furnace or air conditioning system?

We recommend purchasing a new unit when routine maintenance costs increase far beyond normal or when the system gives out entirely. Use it until it breaks and upgrade when the time is right. Routine maintenance will help your unit last longer and is a good investment to save you money.

What is an Energy Star® rating?

An Energy Star® rating is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate through superior energy efficiency. Click here to visit their website for more ways to keep your home energy efficient.

Am I eligible for any tax rebates?

Our customers are eligible for a rebate through the Imperial irrigation District (IID). Ask your technician for more information.

Why should I care about indoor air quality?

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) 4.2 million deaths occur every year as a result of exposure to outdoor air pollution. While Coachella Valley air is cleaner than many areas, improving indoor air quality will increase health, wellness, and life span.

How do I keep my unit from breaking early?

Schedule regular maintenance inspections. We recommend before summer and after summer.
